FAQs
What size dolls fit in your doll accessories?
Every accessory in this collection fits all of our Minikane and Bebenita dolls, across every size we carry. That means you can buy a doll and accessories in the same order without worrying about compatibility — if we sell the doll, our accessories fit it. If your child has a doll from another brand, most dolls in the 11" to 18" range will fit comfortably. Doll carriers are designed with elastic panels that stretch to accommodate different doll sizes, and bassinets have enough interior room to work across the full range.
What age are doll accessories appropriate for?
Most children start playing with doll accessories around 18 months to 2 years — the age when they become interested in caregiving play and want to carry their dolls everywhere. Our accessories are safety tested and rated for ages 3 and up, though many families introduce them earlier with supervised play. Children typically stay interested in doll accessories through ages 5 or 6, and some keep using them well beyond that as imaginative play scenarios get more elaborate.
Do your doll carriers have adjustable straps?
Our doll carriers don't have adjustable straps in the traditional sense — instead, they use elastic panels that stretch to fit toddlers and older children alike. This design is actually easier for kids to use because there's nothing to tighten or loosen. The carrier simply stretches to fit whoever is wearing it, which means it grows with your child and can be shared between siblings of different sizes without any setup.
What developmental skills do doll accessories build?
Doll accessories are any items a child uses to care for, transport, or play with their doll — carriers, bassinets, diaper bags, bottles, clothes, and similar items. They might seem like small add-ons, but they build real developmental skills. Carrying a doll in a carrier teaches balance and body awareness. Packing and unpacking a diaper bag builds fine motor coordination and planning skills. Putting a doll to bed in a bassinet practices sequencing and routine-building. The biggest benefit is emotional — caregiving play helps children develop empathy, nurture instincts, and understand the rhythms of daily life by imitating the care they receive themselves.
What's the best doll accessory to buy first?
A carrier is usually the best first accessory. It's the one kids reach for constantly, because carrying their doll everywhere is often the whole point of having a doll in the first place. A carrier turns a doll into a companion your child can bring to the grocery store, on a walk, or to bed. Bassinets and diaper bags tend to come next, once your child is ready for more stationary or elaborate caregiving play. If you're buying a starter set, a carrier plus one other accessory (either a bassinet for home play or a diaper bag for on-the-go play) gives your child enough variety to build routines around.
Are doll accessories worth buying if we already have a stroller?
Yes, because they serve different kinds of play. A stroller is stationary caregiving — your child pushes the doll around but their hands are on the stroller, not the doll. A carrier is worn, which means the doll becomes part of your child's body as they move around the house. A bassinet is where the doll sleeps, which lets your child build bedtime and naptime routines. A diaper bag is the go-bag for outings. Each accessory adds a new type of caregiving scenario rather than repeating what the stroller already does. Most families find that adding a carrier first creates the biggest expansion in how their child plays with their doll.
How do I clean a doll carrier?
For most dirt and marks, a damp cloth with mild soap is enough. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, which can damage the OEKO-TEX cotton fabric and break down the polyester filling over time. For deeper cleaning, check the care label on the specific carrier — some can be hand-washed with cold water and mild detergent, then air-dried flat. We don't recommend machine washing unless the care label specifically allows it, because washing machines can stretch the elastic panels and distort the padding. If a stain won't come out with spot cleaning, a paste of baking soda and water works well on most fabric surfaces — apply gently, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse.
What makes your doll accessories different?
Two things. First, the materials: every accessory in this collection is made with OEKO-TEX certified cotton and polyester filling, which means the fabric has been independently tested and certified free of harmful substances. Most doll accessories on the market don't carry this certification. Second, the safety testing: we test every product to US CPSIA standards through an independent lab, regardless of what testing the manufacturer has already done. The result is accessories you can trust your child to hug, carry, sleep next to, and put in their mouth without worrying about what's inside.
