Recommended angles:
- 0-10° tilt (half of max tilt): Best for drawing, writing, and everyday use. Most stable position.
- 10-20° tilt (max tilt): Great for display or reducing glare from overhead lighting.
Important stability note: For the safest experience, we recommend using your easel at 0-10° tilt (half of max tilt). If you choose to use the maximum 20° tilt angle, focus drawing and writing on the bottom two-thirds of the board. Writing on the top third at maximum tilt may cause the easel to tip forward due to applied pressure. This is normal physics - not a defect - and easily avoided by using the recommended tilt range for active drawing.

How long does assembly take?
About 10-15 minutes. Hardware and instructions included. No special tools needed beyond a basic screwdriver (which is included).
How stable is the easel? Will it tip over?
The easel is designed for stability during normal creative use, with anti-slip grips on all four corners and a sturdy base. For the safest experience, we recommend using the easel at 0-10° tilt (up to half the maximum angle). At this range, it stays rock-solid during drawing and painting.
If you choose to use higher tilt angles (10-20°), simply focus drawing and writing on the lower two-thirds of the board. This adjustability gives you flexibility - lower angles for active creation, higher angles for display or reducing glare - while maintaining stability throughout.
Think of it like a music stand: it's stable when used as designed, but not meant to be leaned on or climbed. Use it for creating, not climbing, and it'll serve you beautifully for years.
How much does it weigh? Can I move it easily?

What's included in the box?
Premium birch wood easel, magnetic chalkboard/whiteboard insert, clear acrylic insert, 6 wet erase markers, built-in storage tray, and assembly hardware. Chalk and magnets sold separately.
What kind of chalk works best with the chalkboard surface?
We recommend dustless chalk (calcium carbonate or calcium sulphate) for easier cleanup. Liquid chalk markers, wax chalk and water-soluble chalk are harder to remove and often require water to remove. Chalk sold separately.
Can this be used with paint?
Yes! The clear acrylic insert works beautifully with paint (and cleans up easily). The chalkboard and whiteboard surfaces are not recommended for paint - stick to chalk and markers for those.
What's the different between acrylic board and the whiteboard?
Both work with wet erase markers. The whiteboard is opaque white (classic marker board).
The acrylic is transparent, so two kids can draw together (one on each side) and see through to each other's artwork. It's also great for tracing and works with paint.
Will the wood finish hold up to spills and marker accidents?
The birch wood is finished to resist moisture and everyday wear. That said, it's wood, not plastic. Wipe up spills promptly to prevent staining. The natural wood finish develops character over time (we call it "well-loved," not "worn out").
How do I store the inserts when not in use?
The unused insert stores flat - slide it under a bed, in a closet, or on a shelf. Each insert is 20" x 14", so it fits anywhere you'd store a large picture frame or poster board.
Can older kids (ages 6) still use this effectively?
Yes! The 20" x 14" insert size works beautifully for elementary-age kids. Many families use this easel for homework practice (whiteboard for math problems), creative drawing, and art projects well into the school years. It grows with your child.
Can my 2-year-old use this?
This easel is safety tested and recommended for ages 3+. The inserts have edges that could be sharp for very young children still developing fine motor control. If your 2-year-old is supervised and gentle with materials, many families can use it successfully. Use your best judgment based on your child's development.
Is it really worth $110?
This is furniture-grade birch wood, not particle board or plastic. You get three surfaces in one, magnetic functionality, included markers, and quality that lasts from age 3 through elementary school. Cheap easels ($30-50) need replacing every 6-12 months. This is a buy-once investment.
